This is a good film but, in some ways, what happens for 95% of the movie is irrelevant. A little harsh, yeah, but all I really wanted to know was how Captain America moves from the 1940s to the present day. And we don't really find that out until the very end. Until then, Captain America is busy fighting Nazis, especially the equally superpowered Red Skull (Hugo Weaving. Evans gets ample support from the likes of Tommy Lee Jones, Dominic Cooper and Hayley Atwell. That's all well and good, but everything is just a very long interlude for that interesting final five minutes.
Still, it's an enjoyable enough movie that does a solid job of telling the Captain America story. I would happily watch a sequel, which is in the works.

Although, since Steve returned the Stones, everything else went back to normal (Durmammu fighting dr. strange, age of ultron etc. all the fights of Avengers leading to end game) hence, same timeline. Then, IF steve created an alternate timeline with peggy, he SHOULD come back to the main timeline in the PORTAL in which he went back. but he didn't. In some sense, it made sense that old steve knew when and where he needs to be to give the shield to Falcon. In also the same sense, it is the same timeline where he grew up with peggy, that is why he didn't show up the Portal.
